Random Bullets, Wednesday Edition

* I'm back from my long weekend. It was fabulous. Although I did cave and check my email once...but the rest of the time was computer-free, I swear.

* Baby Jane seems to have regressed with the bedtime routine. She used to cry for a few minutes after we put her to bed, at most; most of the time, she just went right to sleep. Tonight? She's been crying for almost an hour now. (Last night, too.) Not sure what happened (although she is teething, so maybe that has something to do with it). Whatever happened, it's annoying, to say the least.

* I'm trying to put more structure into my days, partly to keep my sanity and partly to try and combat the "stuck-ness" I've been feeling. The current plan includes squeezing in an hour of work each day (which is easier to do when Baby Jane goes to sleep right away!) and doing something physical every day, like going for a walk or doing yoga or weights. I've also restocked the nursing areas with journals and articles, so that I have something worthwhile to read while nursing. (I'm hoping that will get me back into the "work" mindset, as many of you have suggested.)

* There is no chocolate in the house. I'm having a mad chocolate craving. Life is not good. (And what is up with that, anyway? I thought the cravings would go away once the pregnancy ended. But no, turns out that I have nursing cravings, too. Egads.)

I wish I could push some chocolate through the connection, as I stopped on the way home tonight.

I did the journals by the nursing chair and found it a peaceful time for thinking (I think I was more up to date then than now...

Take good care of yourself still...

Teething can make a baby really cranktastic (as we call it)! The "experts" say it's a mild pain but don't believe it for a second. The other night our son woke up screaming in the middle of the night from tooth pain. My better half got up with him, medicated him, and soothed him back to sleep. So don't discount the possibility that teething is disrupting her routine.

rebecca---cranktastic! I love that word! I think the teething is throwing her off a bit---that, and she sometimes rolls over and then can't figure out how to roll back over, and gets pissed off. Lots of fun when it happens at 3am!

michelle---it would be nice if we could send chocolate virutally! :) I also find that I do "peaceful thinking" while nursing---it's a good time for reflection on all sorts of things.
