The other day, I actually counted the hours I have left in the classroom until my sabbatical starts (I'm on leave for the rest of the school year).
Think I might be looking forward, just a bit, to my time off from teaching??

Heh. I kind of do that too. I'm also on leave in the spring. When I see colleagues that I haven't seen in a while, the first thing out of my mouth is "I'm on leave in the spring! I can't wait!"
Yeah, I have a hard time hiding my glee too when colleagues ask how the year's going and I say "Great, since I'm gone for the rest of it!" :)
