Monday already?!

Does anyone know what happened to my weekend?? I swear just a minute ago, it was Friday afternoon.....

Ack. Monday morning. My mind is racing. It was racing all last night too, so I probably got 2 hours of sleep, total, in the form of "sleep for 20 minutes, wake up and panic for a half hour". Not fun. Like everyone else in blog-land (it seems), this week will be a busy one for me. I'm actually having problems focusing right now---you know when you have a bunch of things to do, all equally important, and rather than just starting on one and making some progress, you allow yourself to be paralyzed and you don't start anything? Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing right now. I'm hoping that blogging will help "unstick" me so that I can get something done this morning.

Some random thoughts and observations:
* Friday's class observation went well. I found myself surprisingly nervous for the first 5 minutes or so of class (you know, having that one extra person in the room did mess with the dynamic a teeny bit....it was enough to throw me off for a few minutes), but then I sort of forgot that my visitor was there. The class went just fine and I'm looking forward to the debriefing, which should happen later this week.

* That same day, I was able to get some feedback from this class on how they like the class so far, what's going well and what could be improved, etc. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. So, again, all that worrying that I'm the worst teacher ever was really silly.

* Ah, the Super Bowl. No vested interest in either team this year, so it was nice to just sit back and watch the game, relatively stress-free, with good friends and good food. Glad it was a close game, although what was with the Eagle's clock management (or lack thereof) at the end of the game?!

OK, I think I'm ready to tackle the week now....or at least, tackle getting dressed.

D@mn I wish my boss would let me blog to get unstuck on Mondays. :) Weekends really need to be three days long so you have one day where you aren't just coming off of work and you aren't getting ready to go back to work. Now that would be a schedual I could deal with.

I have this theory that Monday morning arrives at least three times every week. And a Friday afternoon only happens once every three weeks or so. That is the way it feels.

Andy, I completely agree with the 3-day weekend idea! As it is now, my weekends consist of Errand Day and Catch Up On Work I Should Have Done During The Week Day. It would be nice to have a third day for (gasp) fun stuff or just lounging around and reading.

jo(e), I find that my Monday mornings are just as likely to happen on Wednesday afternoons. :)
